3-Days Encounter with the African Giants (Amboseli)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south toward Amboseli, a journey of about five hours. Along the way, the scenery shifts from bustling towns to open savannah. By midday, you arrive at your lodge or luxury tented camp. After lunch and a brief rest, you set out for your first game drive. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, often seen against the backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. As the sun sets, you return to your lodge for dinner and enjoy the tranquility of the African night.

Following breakfast, set out for an early sunrise game drive, when the light is golden and wildlife most active. This is the best time to photograph elephants, giraffes, zebras and predators with Kilimanjaro looming in the background. Breakfast is served back at the lodge, followed by a mid-morning visit to a Maasai village, where you learn about their traditions, dances and crafts. After lunch, you relax at the lodge before heading out for another afternoon drive, exploring Amboseli’s swamps and plains where hippos, buffalo and countless bird species thrive. Evening brings a gourmet dinner and perhaps a storytelling session around the fire.

After breakfast you enjoy one last morning drive, hoping to spot elusive cheetahs or lions. Afterward, you return to the lodge for brunch and check out. The journey back to Nairobi begins late morning, with arrival in the evening, carrying memories of Amboseli’s elephants, landscapes and cultural richness.
