Your unforgettable East African safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. Journey through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley with a stop at a scenic viewpoint before continuing to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, relax briefly, then head out on your first exhilarating afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and countless other wildlife species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spend a full day exploring Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destination. Venture across the endless golden plains in search of the Big Five while enjoying spectacular sightings of cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, gazelles and numerous bird species. During the migration season, witness the dramatic Mara River crossings that make this reserve world-famous. Optional activities include a sunrise hot air balloon safari or a visit to a traditional Maasai village.

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive to the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive through one of Kenya’s finest rhino sanctuaries. The park is home to both black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, flamingos (seasonal), pelicans and an incredible diversity of birdlife. The acacia woodlands and shimmering lake provide a beautiful backdrop for photography.

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Amboseli National Park, travelling through Kenya’s scenic countryside. Arrive later in the afternoon and, weather permitting, enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Set out on an evening game drive as large elephant herds roam the plains alongside zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and predators.

Spend the day discovering Amboseli’s remarkable landscapes and wildlife. Famous for its free-ranging elephants and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the park also shelters lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, hippos and over 400 bird species. Visit Observation Hill for sweeping views of the wetlands and surrounding plains.

After breakfast, drive to the Kenya–Tanzania border where you’ll complete immigration formalities before meeting your Tanzanian safari guide. Continue to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for the adventures ahead.

Following breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania. Enjoy a rewarding game drive while searching for lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elands and numerous bird species that thrive along the Tarangire River.

Journey through the spectacular Ngorongoro Highlands before descending into the legendary Serengeti National Park. The endless plains come alive with wildlife as you enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and vast herds of grazers spread across the savannah.

Dedicate the entire day to exploring one of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations. Your experienced guide will take you through different habitats in search of the Big Five, the Great Migration (seasonal), crocodiles, hippos, jackals and countless other fascinating species. Every game drive offers unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Enjoy a final morning game drive before departing the Serengeti for the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel through breathtaking highlands and arrive at your lodge overlooking the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Relax and enjoy spectacular views as you prepare for tomorrow’s crater safari.

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, including endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos and many other species. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, where your remarkable 11-day Kenya and Tanzania safari comes to an end.
