Embark on an unforgettable 13-day Kenya and Tanzania budget safari designed to showcase the breathtaking wildlife and stunning landscapes of East Africa. The adventure begins in Kenya with a warm welcome and hotel pick-up, before setting off through a series of iconic destinations.

Explore the wildlife-rich Samburu National Reserve, home to unique species such as the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe, then continue to the world-famous Maasai Mara. Witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra traverse the plains, and search for the Big Five against the backdrop of the Mara River. Crossing into Tanzania, you explore the predator-rich Serengeti, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater brimming with biodiversity, and visit Tarangire, renowned for its elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Throughout the journey you enjoy comfortable accommodation, satisfying meals and the expertise of a dedicated guide. The safari includes unlimited game drives, all park entrance fees and transport in a pop-up roof tour van in Kenya and a 4×4 Land Cruiser in Tanzania – a perfect blend of adventure and value across the heart of Africa’s wilderness.

Detailed Itinerary

You will depart from Nairobi via the floor of the Great Rift Valley and have the first stop over at the famous view point to have the scenic view of the rifts then proceed to Narok to have hot lunch then finally to the camp (Miti Mingi Eco Camp). After 30 minutes of rest have an evening tracking of game of about 2-3 hours then dinner and overnight at the camp.

Have breakfast at the camp then set out for the morning game drive before 8:00Am till 5:00Pm and then have picnic lunch. Maasai Mara is unique in its ways and is covered with savannah grassland on rolling hills which is scenic view. It also has a good track network which allows for close proximity of wildlife and nice photograph captures.  Visit to the Maasai village is at own pleasure and optional at a charge of 10$ per person. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Have a visit to the Masai village then before 9:00Am, get back to the camp and have a full breakfast then proceed to Nakuru while having your lunch enroute. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha and even enjoy an optional fun activity of boat riding. Then finally proceed to Nakuru. Diner and overnight at City Max hotel.

Have breakfast at the hotel then leave for the game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park known for its variety of birds including the flamingoes. Enjoy the view of hippos, buffaloes and crocodiles at Baboon cliff then later have your lunch enroute to Amboseli National Park. Check in at Kimana camp for dinner and overnight.

Have pre-breakfast then have an early morning game drive in Amboseli game drive and enjoy the close proximity of animal viewing especially the amazing elephant size and their matriarchs (old female elephant leaders) and the variety of birds found in the park. Have picnic breakfast and lunch then dinner and overnight at the camp.
Have pre-breakfast then set out for the early game drive at 6:30Am in the swampy park and enjoy variety of herbivores wallowing in the muddy swamps like the hippos and the large elephants and their cubs and variety of other wildlife. Return and have full breakfast at the camp then check out from the camp and drive to Namanga border where you will catch a shuttle bus to Arusha. Upon arrival meet our driver who will transfer you to Arusha Hotel booked bed and breakfast.
Breakfast at the hotel the meet our driver for a transfer to the office from where we will leave for Lake Manyara national park. Arrive at the park by 1000am, with picnic lunches proceed for a game drive in search of the wildlife and he flamingos that inhabit in this national park. Lake Manyara is famous for the tree climbing lions and the flocks of Flamingos. Later in the evening leave Lake Manyara and drive to Panaroma Camp where dinner will be served followed by overnight.
Breakfast will be served, check out and leave Panaroma camp- for Serengeti area, a 4hours drive arrive at the main gate for registration and afternoon game drive. You will have at least 6 hours game drive before proceeding to Central Serengeti at Seronera camp where dinner and overnight will be served. Serengeti is really wide and we choose to stay at Central so that we can access the area with largest animal concentration during the game drive.
Early breakfast at the camp then with picnic lunch leave the camp for a full day game viewing tracking the wildebeest migration and the big five; lion, Leopard, buffalo, Elephant and the Rhino. You may take a game drive to crocodile infested grumeti River to see the crocodiles and the hippopotamus. Ha ve picnic lunch at the picnic site and continue with the game drive till 1700hrs. Drive to the camp with a game driver for Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Early breakfast at the camp then leave with picnic lunches for a t least 6 hour Game drive within Serengeti National park. Here you will tracker the wildebeest, Zebras, Giraffes, Lions, Lioness, black rhino, Cheetah, Leopard, Hyena, Bushbuck, lesser kudu, wild dog, Kongoni, impala, grant’s gazelle, black backed jackal, Mongoose, Olive baboons, Vervet Monkeys among other animals are found here and you will be lucky to some of them. By noon leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at extra cost of usd $35 per person. By evening arrive at the conservancy area where you will have dinner and overnight at Simba camp.
Breakfast at the camp, then leave for a game drive within the ngorongoro crater where you will be able to descend with a game drive with the view of Common Lions, African Elephants, Black Rhino, blue wildebeest, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena. Wild dog, Grant’s Zebras, African buffalo and Hippopotamus at the crater rim. Have the picnic lunch at the crater rim then start ascending to the main gate, exit the crater after the 6 hours and drive to Tarangire Public campsite where dinner and overnight will be served.
After breakfast at the camp leave a for a game driver along Tarangire river that cuts Tarangire National park into two and supplies enough water to the animals that inhabit in the park. See large number of Elephants as they come to the River to drink water. Have the picnic lunch at the picnic site inside the park then continue with the game till late afternoon, leave the park and drive to Arusha town where you will be dropped at the Hotel.
After breakfast check out and either be transferred to Arusha airport or catch a shuttle bus back to Nairobi. If you return to Nairobi you will meet our staff share your experience and be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel or airport to catch a flight back home or to other destination.
